i think it is a great gun. the slam fire mode is really cool. You hold the trigger in and pump the handle back and foward. it shoots far too. i got mine 2 shoot 40 feet angled. the drum mag is great, but it makes the gun lean to one side. the only other bad thing is that sometimes the darts go 40 feet, but sometimes they only go two. it has a adjustable stock, and 2 tactical rails. the gun is so cool, the person you are shooting at will have no idea that 35 darts are about to slam into him:)

They were a good price for the amount and just what my son needed for his dart gun.
I bought this item after experience shortage of darts while playing with my 2 daughters. We kept on having to stop the game to pick up darts. After getting this, we can keep on playing for a long time. We’re losing these darts like crazy though. Blame it on all the junks in the house my wife bought.
No complains, except that the velcro piece at the top of the dart comes off after some play. I need to glue it back.
I brought the refills for guns that I purchased they worked very well. They stuck to the vest like they said they would. The kids that I gave these to were happy to get the extra bullets. Thanks for prompt shipping so I had them in time for the Holidays.
Fun toy for boys who like to shoot things!! My nephews played with it for a week after Xmas. But, of course, all things lose their novelty after awhile.
Bought this for my nephews, aged 3 and 5. They’ve had a great time with it, playing cops and robbers with the guns, and other improvised games. Zero educational value, hey they’re shooting at each other and at other things/people. Possible bad lessons for later in life?
Thinking about it, how many have played with toy guns as kids and become mass murderers or serial killers?
One benefit, according to their mom is that they enjoy playing with the guns outside in the backyard, so that’s good thing.
This is a great pair of guns. They feel like bigger versions of the maverick. They shoot pretty consistently. They don’t jam very easily. The barrel does not swing out to load. The vests that come with this aren’t too great, they feel cheap. The goggles are basically useless.
Pros:
-Great guns. They shoot great. 10 shot barrel.
-Durable. I’ve played with the guns a lot and they don’t break. You can drop them, hit them, etc, and they keep on working fine.
-Velcro darts stick to many sweaters, which is better than using the vests.
Cons:
-Colors are a bit bright, especially for in doors use.
-Goofy vest and goggles are useless.
-Front rifle area of the gun is unnecessarily long
-Hard to load because the barrel does not swing out.
I am soooo glad I purchased this product for my 10 year old son’s Birthday! He just LOVES it and him & his friends have gotten A LOT of use out of it! It is great fun for the kids (and adults!)- we have had MANY dart wars since getting this
Okay, the CS-6 is a nice nerf gun.
The range is okay. You get somewhere around 25 feet with this gun without modding it.
The gun comes as a pistol with 4 attachments: A barrel, some tatical railing, a “Scope” (It’s really just a peice of plastic), and a lazer that doesn’t work.
You can fit the parts however you chose to get away from the orignal pistol, but I WARN YOU: THE BARREL IS VERY HARD TO TAKE OFF.
The clip is very hard to take off, as well. For all you kids out there, you’re going to need your parent’s help.
The item only comes with enough darts to fill one clip, and that’s not enough if you’re planning to use that outside, Buy some refills.
It’s really durable, though. I can shoot without shooting out a dart as many times as I want, and the gun still hasn’t broken. You can tell it hasn’t broken if when you slide back with the hard to reload with just one hand on the gun reload system, a orange thing will pop up on the back.
So yeah. That’s about it.

The recon cs6 is a very accurate nerf gun. It is very good at secretly shoting. I am nine years old and I love this gun. I like that no matter what positition you’re in,you are just as accurate!
I got the recon a few weeks ago. the flip up site keeps coming off its hinges and its hard to pop it back in. when i gat it it only fired a foot because the spring wasn’t in plroply. you half to unscrew the blak bit at the back and push it back in;once you do that;it goes for 30-60 feet depening how high you aim it.the laser sight sight is ok. you realy need 2 nerf guns to have any fun(and another person but that goes without saying) it has absoloutly positivly no educaional perpoes at all. all and all I give it 4 stars
First of all this is not what the commercial says it is. It does not shoot that far…brand new it shoots about 20 feet.
Plus, it is not that powerful. So if you were me, I wouldn’t buy it.
P.S. It is heavy!
When I was looking for a nerf gun, I wanted one I could modify. This is a great gun to get into the experience of modding nerf guns.
It’s a nerf gun, so how educational can it be? That being said, it’s still educational in that you can experiment with making your own darts of varying lengths, you can test different springs (if you find some that fit), you can modify the barrel to slide out further, make barrel ‘clips’ (if you have a spare gun), etc… so there are things to be learned, if you wish. There are also a great deal of youtube videos that demonstrate the different mods, which makes it considerably easier (and somewhat safer).
As a toy, it’s great. It’s durable, simple, and it shoots things. What more can you ask for?
I bought this “gun” on the recommendation of one of my high school tutoring students. He likes the Nerf Maverick and says that some of his teachers own them for shootouts in school. My purchase was made to dissuade those rascally squirrls who insist on eating from our backyard tray feeder.
Pulling back the spring loaded slide requires more than a little effort, making it quite a challenge for any five or six-year-old. The six included darts load into the rotating chamber, but only one shot can be taken per pullback.
Our birdfeeder is 26 feet from the deck, a distance I assumed would be within the range of this benign weapon. The darts reach the squirrels in the feeder (weakly) if I aim above their heads and adjust for wind conditions, temperature, and phases of the moon. I’ve only hit one squirrel and that was on the bounce as he was bounding away from the feeder.
I can only imagine that this toy would be lots of fun for a kid or a grown up kid as long as he or she has the strength to pull back the spring loader. I may be buying some of the whistling darts because I’ve read that in addition to making a cool, intimidating noise, they travel further

I purchased this toy for my sons’ enjoyment. I instructed them to be careful but I was confident in the safety of the toy. No where in the gun literature did it say that the gun would still fire even within close range. My youngest son suffered a contusion on the cheek and my older son had a red mark on his forehead for more than 2 hours. Beware – the gun DOES FIRE no matter where you aim it.
This particular model doesn’t shoot quite as far as I would like, but poor build is not to blame, safety regulations are. It holds a lot of darts and can shoot as fast as you can reset the slide. It’s a lot of fun and the ideal weapon for HvZ for any who are shopping with that intention.
So, I got this nerf gun for christmas, and it’s pretty good. a little modifications are required. Just kidding! This is the best nerf gun ever!!!!! I’ve been shooting my dad with it, and he’s lost a couple of wars because I had the raider. Also he’s won one or two battles with the raider. I like the extendable stock because it’s really comfortable. If you have a fast arm then it could be faster than the vulcan! (I dont have the vulcan I tried it at my friends house) This gun is great for wars, especially with its rapid fire action. get two of these so you can have a raider war with your friends! I haven’t modded it yet, probably because my recon broke when I tried to open it. so i’m too afraid to even unscrew two bolts. either way, the raider doesn’t need much modding because it’s the best nerf gun ever!
nice things: -If you hold the trigger and keep cocking it, it will shoot immediately every time you push the handle foward.
-in the bottom of the back handle there’s a space to put an extra dart in.
-the drum can be replaced with a recon/longshot clip if you run out of ammo.
needs improvement: -Darts get lost easily
So, there are three extra features, and One bad feature. Yeah, I recommend you buy this nerf gun as soon as you get the money (Or right now)Now I have one more thing to say; Raider rocks!
