The Shot Blast Supersoaker is a very fun water gun to use. It requires no pumping beforehand, you just push the handle forward, then pull it back to fire a blast of water. However, there is a catch to this, as this Supersoaker has lower ranges than the Supersoakers which are pumped before firing. But, the water blast from the Shot Blast has a spread to it like a shotgun, which allows you to hit your targets easier.
Another excellent feature of this Supersoaker is the ability for you to customize it with NERF blaster accessories. You can detach the original stock for the sawn-off look, or replace it with a Raider CS-35 or a Recon CS-6 stock. In addition, the Shot Blast has two tactical rails on it, allowing you to use most NERF accessories such as scopes. You can even clip a Strikefire/Crossfire blaster to Nerf Gun it for dart blasting capabilities. Also, the Shot Blast scope included is compatible with NERF blasters that have a tactical rail on them.
The good design and large potential for customization makes the Shot Blast a great Supersoaker, and I would definitely recommend it. Especially the value pack with the scope, as you don't pay any extra for it. At least not yet, anyways.

Supersoaker Shotblast Water Blaster W/Scope Value Pack - Red
Great hot weather fun
Fun value is indisputable - who doesn't like water pistol battles in the summer?
I purchased two of these for my grandson's ninth birthday - one red and one blue. After all, he has to have someone to play with on an equal footing. The educational value remains to be seen - I'm hopeful that he will learn and understand fair play, and not continue with "might makes right" as is so common with young, competitive children.

I could lie to you and say that I bought this blaster for my son but I got it for myself. It’s a must have for any nerf collection. I ended up getting a second one so my son and I wouldn’t fight over it. The only thing that I didn’t care for is the lack of power. It could be a little stronger. Good for close quarters though. All and all it makes a pretty good back up blaster.
I literally just got this gun in the mail from Amazon.com. I have to admit, my first impressions are not good. First of all, the point of interest with the Deploy is it’s ability to fold up and supposedly look inconspicuous…or at least that’s what I assumed Nerf was aiming for. I guess if someone is new to Nerf and sees you walking up with the Deploy they’ll think…”Hey, nice flashlight, where did you…Holy Crap, it’s a Nerf gun!!!” Seriously, the only thing it can do folded up is act as a flashlight. Yea…a flashlight.
As you can tell I’m not a big fan of the Deploy’s gimmick. Not only for logistic reasons however. When the Deploy is in gun mode it feels very flimsy. This is especially so for the grip which actually moves back and forth slightly. My other complaint about the grip is that it’s pretty short…or my hands have just grown over night.
The Deploy has a sight built in, which is neat…but with most Nerf guns it’s essentially pointless. It also makes me wonder why they built a tactical rail on top. Nerf has yet to come out with any real quality attachments other than the scope and flashlight…and since the Deploy has both built in I guess the tactical rail will remain empty for now.
Don’t get me wrong, this gun still has some positive aspects. For one, it’s firing capablities. It’s distance and speed are identical to that of the Raider. Since the Raider is one of my all time favorite Nerf guns, I’m happy about this. I also enjoyed the shotgun style pump it works well and doesn’t stick like I thought it might.
Overall the gun is very light and well balanced. It’s not side heavy like the Raider and not front heavy like the Recon (when it has the barrel extension on.) It feels good using it one handed (even though the grip is more wobbly than I would have hoped for). One last little positive thing is that the Raider barrel looks great on this gun. I know that’s not a huge deal, but that barrel really doesn’t look good on any other Nerf weapon.
Obviously, any die-hard Nerf fan (like myself) is going to purchase this gun no matter what anyone says about it. If you’re new to Nerf, I wouldn’t suggest starting out with this weapon (especially since it doesn’t come with any bullets…really Nerf? come on!) No matter which side of the spectrum you fall on, I still think this gun deserves a spot in your arsenal. It’s not the most impressive thing I’ve seen Nerf deliver, but it’s also not the worst.
I run weekend-warrior games of Humans Versus Zombies, and since I am the Human Team leader, i need an impressive armament.
I used the Recon and Maverick my first game, and both of those are pretty decent. I then decided to impress by picking up the Deploy, and I am pretty happy with it.
Pros:
-Quick-release button is not only practical, but very intimidating to Zombies, as your blaster is fully assembled in 1 second.
-Shotgun priming system is very easy to use and reliable.
-Red light is good for night missions/games
-First Nerf gun to actually include a carrying strap; perfect to sling around the shoulder and grab your secondary
-Accepts barrels from Longshot, Longstrike, and Recon (Recon barrel looks WICKED AWESOME)
Cons:
-Reverse-plunger system (like the Longstrike and Recon) is notorious for shorter distances, and jams (if used improperly or with bent darts)
-Don’t expect this to act like a sniper rifle; it’s an ASSAULT rifle (meaning short-medium distance shots)
-Collapsable handle isn’t as stable as one would like.
-Lots of noise while firing…not much of a problem for people, but the rattle bugs me sometimes.
All in all, its a very decent gun, and you cant beat the price for something as decent as the Deploy (though the Recon came kinda close)
Ok, I was so happy to see this at my local toy shop since I thought it would not be out until April. This is a fun novelty blaster that Nerf used to make in a large variety. I love the N-Strike line, but like many have gotten a bit bored with the repackaging of the same systems. So here is how the Deploy CS-6 is different, it transforms! Yeah, a flashlight into a blaster seems lame when you think about the light only needing 3 AAA batteries to work, but I still remember the sonic ray gun I had that folded into a radio when I was younger and I loved playing with it!
The stats:
-The plunger is identical to the Recon (which seems to be Nerf’s fav since you see it on the Longstrike and Raider), so the power is that of a light blaster. Think Recon range with no barrel extension.
-The size is nice and compact when folded and expands an extra 4″-5″ when ‘deployed.’
-It comes with a carry strap! Finally all the other blasters have the place for clipping a strap this one actually comes with one.
-N-Strike accessories that can work with the tactical rail and it has a fitting for the barrel extensions from the Recon, Longstrike, and Longshot.
-Pump-action, which is always nice, but the collapsing handle (which has a good additional support) feels flimsy (which I expected since it is collapsible and made of plastic).
-It is a CS (clip-system) so you can buy extra clips and use the Drum-clip (the last seems a bit awkward with the size and weight).
I bought this blaster because of the uniqueness it has and how much fun I had when I was a kid using a transforming blaster and my imagination. I think my son will get a kick out of it also.
So, I got this nerf gun for christmas, and it’s pretty good. a little modifications are required. Just kidding! This is the best nerf gun ever!!!!! I’ve been shooting my dad with it, and he’s lost a couple of wars because I had the raider. Also he’s won one or two battles with the raider. I like the extendable stock because it’s really comfortable. If you have a fast arm then it could be faster than the vulcan! (I dont have the vulcan I tried it at my friends house) This gun is great for wars, especially with its rapid fire action. get two of these so you can have a raider war with your friends! I haven’t modded it yet, probably because my recon broke when I tried to open it. so i’m too afraid to even unscrew two bolts. either way, the raider doesn’t need much modding because it’s the best nerf gun ever!
nice things: -If you hold the trigger and keep cocking it, it will shoot immediately every time you push the handle foward.
-in the bottom of the back handle there’s a space to put an extra dart in.
-the drum can be replaced with a recon/longshot clip if you run out of ammo.
needs improvement: -Darts get lost easily
So, there are three extra features, and One bad feature. Yeah, I recommend you buy this nerf gun as soon as you get the money (Or right now)Now I have one more thing to say; Raider rocks!
Fun Toy. My 11 year old son salivated over this toy for months before he got it, and loves it now. Nerf never disappoints. This toy is no exception.
The Nerf Raider CS-35 is a 3 star for me because the gun is not all that good but the drum is very good. This drum is a breakthrough in Nerf technology. It can hold 35 darts. You can see how many darts you have left. And If a bullet gets jammed (which it probably won’t) you can twist the speed dial thingy and then go back to shooting. Plus it can fit into guns like the recon, the longshot, and the longstrike. Bottom line, the drum is amazing. Now for the gun itself. It probably shoots as far as the recon but not nearly as accurate and consistent. If you just have the clip in this gun don’t pick it as your main gun. Bottom line, the gun is not very good at shooting but with the drum you have more of a chance of hitting the enemy cause you have more darts. I can’t decide whether I would recommend this to a friend or not. But just to tell you don’t get the RAIDER IF IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE DRUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that this gun is good overall. here are my pros and cons. pros: the drum’s ammo 35 bullets.
the two mode shooting. (slam and single shot)
you can have quick shot clips in it.
cons:prone to jamming
it’s not really rapid fire (you have to hold the trigger and then slam the pump back and fourth)
My two sons and husband are big “nerf” gun fans — this gun was difficult to put together and once together the tripod stand releases everytime you attempt to use the gum. The rapid fire action will not work and has not worked from the time it came out of the box. Additionally, the gun is somewhat expensive. Save your money and just buy a single shot, hand held, less expensive Nerf gun — it will certainly perform better than the sorry Vulcan!
I bought this after i bought the nerf vulcan. The rapid fire option worked great, because it gets a little unwieldy to pull the lever to reload while holding the heavy gun with the other. My son said it was a lot harder to reload because you had to take the belt out and put the 25 darts in. So i bought this so he had two belts to reload with. He loves having nerf wars with the kids around the neighborhood.
This is an ammo expansion set. Basically, it’s useless without the N-Strike Vulcan gun. The bullets can be used for other Nerf weapons, true, but the chain can only be used with the Vulcan. I recommend this product for anyone who has or plans on buying the Vulcan, because two chains are better than one, especially in the heat of battle.
You can buy this product from Nerf directly (but the shipping cost is quite high). It can also be found at your local toy stores as well.
